Fimela.com, Jakarta Para pecinta musik 1990an tentunya tidak asing dengan nama Destiny's Child. Grup yang dibentuk pada tahun 1990, grup musik wanita ini menjadi awal kesuksesan anggotanya, yaitu Beyonce Knowles, Kelly Rowland, dan Michelle Williams.
Grup ini pun sempat mengalami beberapa kali bongkar pasang personil. Awal dibentuk, Destiny's Child beranggotakan Beyonce, LaTavia Roberson, dan Kelly Rowland. Saat itu, ayah Beyonce, Matthew Knowles bertindak sebagai manajer.
Tahun 1993, muncul nama LeTota Luckett yang masuk sebagai anggota keempat. Dengan formasi ini, mereka merilis album perdana pada tahun 1998 yang diberi judul sesuai nama grup mereka, Destiny's Child, yang berisi 13 lagu dan 5 bonus lagu.
Tahun berikutnya, Destiny's Child kembali merilis album, yang bertajuk The Writing's on the Wall. Kesuksesan pun semakin tampak di depan mata. Ditambah lagi, tahun 2000 grup ini kembali menyambut kehadiran anggota baru. Farrah Franklin.
Sayangnya, kebersamaan kelima personilnya ternyata tak bertahan lama. Tahun yang sama, LaTavia Roberson, LeToya Luckett dan Farrah Franklin memutuskan untuk mengundurkan diri dan membentuk grup trio sendiri. Destiny's Child hanya tersisa dua personil, hingga akhirnya Michelle Williams hadir melengkapi formasi mereka.
Ketiga wanita ini pun kembali merilis album pada tahun 2001, dan diberi nama Survivor. Single Independent Woman dan Survivor pun menjadi andalan mereka saat itu. Sayangnya, setelah beberapa kali merilis album, akhirnya mereka memutuskan bubar pada tahun 2005. Hingga kini, para personil Destiny's Child meniti karir solo masing-masing.
